1) Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Byrde (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2) About Byrde

Byrde helps you track spending, income, savings, and investments using natural‑language input and visual insights. Byrde is provided by Shamsudeen Adedokun (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

3) Eligibility

You must be at least 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country). If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent you have authority to bind that organization.

You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

7) Your Content & Data

You retain rights to the content you input (e.g., transactions). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the App. You’re responsible for ensuring your content is accurate and lawful.

8) Third‑Party Services

The App may integrate third‑party services (e.g., Firebase, analytics, notifications, cloud backups, authentication providers). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms and privacy policies.

9) Intellectual Property

The App, including software, design, logos, text, and graphics, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by IP laws. Except for your content and as permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, or create derivative works.

10) Feedback

If you send ideas or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty‑free license to use them without restrictions.

11) Disclaimers

Byrde provides informational tools only and does not offer financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. We provide the App “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the App will not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim.

13) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14) Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and cancel your subscription through your app store/account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or pose a risk to others or the App.

15) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, without regard to conflicts of law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Abuja, Nigeria, unless mandatory local consumer laws provide otherwise.

16) Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in‑app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
